Mission

Educate the Children works with women and children in Nepal to improve health, welfare, and self-sufficiency by building skills that families can pass down to later generations. Focusing on the poorest of the poor by working strategically through women's groups, schools, and agriculture groups, Educate the Children develops a comprehensive community presence, gaining an extraordinary level of local participation and trust.

Educate the Children

Better lives for 1,000 families in Ramdhuni, Nepal

ETC will support 1,000 marginalized women and their families in Ramdhuni Municipality, Sunsari District, Nepal. Building on decades of success in Nepal, we'll work in partnership with village residents, teachers, and local leaders to address the most pressing problems: food insecurity, lack of income generating opportunities, lack of resources in schools, and COVID prevention. All activities will be undertaken with due precautions for the safety of our staff and program participants alike.

Strong Foundations: Early Education in Rural Nepal

Our "Strong Foundations" project will improve the early childhood education experience for hundreds of children ages 3-5 in 23 classrooms in Ramdhuni Municipality, Nepal. ETC and partner Save the Earth will: 1. Provide classroom materials, furniture, and recreational items; 2. Offer best-practice-based teacher training; 3. Host regular networking opportunities for the teachers (all women); and 4. Encourage parents' active involvement and support.
