Mission

DTC's mission is to protect the rights of children, and to provide children and families in difficult life situations with quality social, medical, and psychological support. DTC's strategic priorities include: - Provision of comprehensive social, medical and psychological services to victims of child abuse and women exposed to domestic violence; - Promotion of family-based care for children who lost parental support through reunification of birth families, training of potential foster parents, and psychosocial assistance to newly formed foster families; - Implementation of prevention activities to ensure zero new cases of HIV among women, children and adolescents; - Implementation of activities to ensure increased involvement of fathers in child care and development to prevent family disadvantages; - Dissemination of effective social work technologies through government and NGO social service providers of St. Petersburg and other regions of Russia.
