Kenya

Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Kenya aims to provide 40 children living in neighbouring communities the opportunity to dream big by offering them a four year holistic secondary education experience. By ensuring that 100% of the funds go to our beneficiaries, we will not only be empowering them with education, we will be contributing to bringing up a generation of young people that can positively impact their communities and become conservation and wildlife ambassadors.

COVID-19
Kenya

As the largest black rhino sanctuary in East and Central Africa and home to the world's last two northern white rhinos, Ol Pejeta is one of the most important wildlife conservancies in the world. We also provide a sanctuary for rescued chimpanzees and livelihood support to our local communities. The constant threat from poachers combined with the devastating financial impact of COVID-19 means that we urgently need your support to keep our rangers on the ground and our rhino population safe.

"The situation is dire" said Samuel Mutisya, our Head of Conservation. Samuel is referring to a major issue facing Ol Pejeta Conservancy: water supply. A harrowing drought to the north of the Conservancy is driving wildlife south, in desperate search of food and water. Dry conditions on the Conservancy, combined with increased competition for resources, has caused a tidal wave of issues, stretching our teams to the limit.

You Can Help Save a Species!

Animals & Biodiversity
Kenya

Political instability and human demand for rhino horn led to increased poaching and the annihilation of this species. Today, there are just two northern white rhinos remaining in the world, Najin and Fatu - mother and daughter. They live on Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Kenya and are protected by armed guards 24/7. We - humans - are responsible. However, there is hope. We have embarked on a ground-breaking program to save this species and are inviting you to join us.

On The Scent: Meet the Dogs Protecting 200 Rhinos

Animals & Biodiversity
Kenya

Sadly, the demand for rhino horn has decimated rhino populations in Africa and on average, one rhino is poached every day on the continent. Here on Ol Pejeta, we fight the war on poaching 24/7 and our pack of eight elite working dogs are paramount to our anti-poaching operation. Our K9 Unit is heavily reliant on donations and urgently needs your support.
