Mission

INCTR is dedicated to helping to build capacity for cancer prevention, treatment (including palliative care) and research and to improve access to needed care in order to lessen the suffering and limit the number of lives lost from cancer in developing countries.

Improve Quality Childhood Cancer Care in Uganda

This project provides access to comprehensive quality cancer care to children in northern Uganda who are treated by St Mary's Hospital Lacor in Gulu. The project will pay for costs of diagnosis and treatment and cover families' expenses including transportation, food, accommodation, education for children undergoing treatment, and psychological support. It provides training for health care personnel caring for children with cancer, and public awareness to increase the speed of diagnosis.

Cure 250 Children with Burkitt Lymphoma in Africa

Uganda

This project provides access to care for children with Burkitt Lymphoma in equatorial African countries - Uganda, Nigeria, Democratic Republic of Congo and Tanzania - by buying chemotherapy drugs and covering families' costs, including transportation, food and accommodation. It also provides training for doctors and nurses caring for these children.
