Story

This project will provide water well, pump, transmission line and storage tanks to remote villages in northern Thailand. The lack of a clean water supply increases health risks, hinders agricultural development, and requires much time and energy to obtain the water necessary for daily living. Our goal this year is to install / improve / renovate water systems in 50 villages to improve the quality of life for thousands of families.

Impact

By providing a reliable source of clean water at convenient locations within the villages, more time and energy can be directed to agricultural and farming projects, educational development, community health awareness and business ventures. A reliable source of water will promote better health, which is turn enables children to attend school, parents to have enough time and energy to work at home, in the garden, or at the store, allowing families to thrive together with hope for a better future

Challenge

Due to the changing weather patterns and reduction of underground water supply in higher elevations, normal water sources have been reduced and some have disappeared. Combined with the increase in village populations and farming activities, there is a critical need to supply a clean water supply to many remote villages. As the old saying goes, health is wealth. A clean, reliable source of water is the first step in assisting rural villages in Thailand to maintain good health and prosper.
