PCI Media is dedicated to women and girls' empowerment. Our radio dramas, television shows, and media campaigns span 3 continents and take on ending child marriage; ending violence against women and girls; increasing access to sexual and reproductive health services; increasing access to education. The stories we tell and live matter because they inspire personal and collective change. Your support helps us create more media to empower women and girls to lead self-determined lives.

Impact

Assault, child marriage, and early and unwanted pregnancy have a profound impact on a girl or young woman's physical and mental health. These experiences limit her ability to live a self-determined life. Teen pregnancy often ostracizes girls from their families and local communities. Providing access to education about sexual and reproductive choices and gender equity has a profound impact on changing the course of a young woman's life.

Challenge

In many parts of the world, structures and social norms that endanger women and girls still exist and even thrive. Violence against women remains prevalent. Over a third of women worldwide experience violence and less than 40% seek help. Early and unintended pregnancy continues to jeopardize the health and future of young girls. COVID-19 has further exacerbated these issues and has made access to sexual health and reproductive rights more difficult.
