Millions of people around the world are living through crises, but their stories are rarely heard in the mainstream news or raised to global awareness. The Hope in Crisis Fund will help communities struggling through intensifying natural and human-made disasters, including armed conflict, famine, persecution, and climate catastrophes.

Impact

Our view is that locally run organizations can nimbly and effectively provide for immediate and ongoing community needs. Getting funds to them benefits communities directly and quickly. It also helps build capacity in local organizations who are committed to their communities for the long haul, helping them become more self-sufficient and resilient in the face of future disasters and crises.

Challenge

Unfortunately, most crises around the world rarely receive the global attention they deserve. Basic needs in affected communities go unmet, year after year. Women and children, Indigenous people, ethnic and racial minorities, and displaced populations are disproportionately impacted, and their needs are chronically overlooked and underfunded. The Hope in Crisis Fund brings vital support where it is needed most in crisis-affected communities, regardless of whether their stories make headlines.
