Refugee Families affected by COVID 19 Pandemic
Story
The proposed intervention is aiming to protect the 800 PRL, PRS and SRS refugee families during COVID 19 through promoting hygiene practices in the refugee camps. The intervention will be divided into three main components: - Identifying the most vulnerable 800 PRL and PRS households - Providing social distance hygiene awareness for 500 parents - Provision of domestic hygiene kits for 800 PRL, PRS and SRS households in 3 Palestinian refugee camps
Impact
By providing the hygiene kits for the most marginalized refugee families, this will give them opportunity to be protected from any kinds of infection especially (Corona Virus). Therefore, the refugee families will be improved their hygienic practices and well being, and the number of the infected persons will be eliminated.
Challenge
668 cases infected by COVID 19, has been reported until 17th April while the number is expected to be increased, if the citizens still ignoring the safety and protection measures "Quarantine" which applied by the Lebanese government. These are considered as the main challenge towards the government who are responsible to protect the community and to provide them with their basic needs, whereas in this situation, the refugee community is considered as an economical burden and is totally ignored
