Story

An opportunity to change disadvantaged young lives for the better through vocational training skills. We encourage socially vulnerable young people to choose education, inspiring them to dream and aim higher. We offer training opportunities in recognized educational institutions and provide continued individual follow up. We also create initiatives to increase our participants' chances in finding work.

Impact

Vocational training skills have a permanent positive impact on young people's lives, improving their employment chances, enabling further development, and, also, benefiting the communities they live in. The agreement between Aspire and the beneficiaries will include an appropriate pay-back plan for the funds loaned for vocational training. The repayment amounts will be directed exclusively to loans for future beneficiaries.

Challenge

In the area of where we work,we have identified that there is a need to address School Drop-Outs, and Unemployed Youths living within the villages , with a Vocational Training Scheme. Unemployed youth and recent school drop outs from poor backgrounds lose hope and end up loitering, becoming irresponsible in the community and often find themselves engaging themselves in misconduct of all kinds. Therefore enabling them to acquire skills to support themselves we hope will prevent this.
