Solar Lamps for Isalo Community Members

Climate Action
Madagascar

One solar lamp help us reach 5 end-users, save families 10,000 MGA a month (from shifts on spending on fuel, candles, electricity), give children more hours for evening reading, give precious time for family gatherings, improve personal safety, reduce incidence of fires from kerosene lamps tipping over, decrease CO2 emissions with less pollution exposure. We need $3,720 to provide solar lamps to Isalo community members

Professional Skills to Implement Inclusive Tourism

Education & Technology
Madagascar

This project aims to make tourism better, not only for guests but also for local people. Attracting domestic tourists and becoming less reliant on long-distance visitors is quite juvenile for a destination such as Madagascar. There are no half measures, operating legally, and ensuring the safety and quality to tourists are essential. To respond to the situation, we need to train and upgrade the skills of 06 hospitality and tourism professionals

COVID-19
Madagascar

COVID-19 has made it challenging for most families working in the hospitality and tourism industry. Hunger and poverty play out privately in the lives of thousands of travel community. Hunger plays out quietly in classrooms as students try to keep up with their lessons. It plays out in the homes as they sacrifice meals to afford medication. It plays out in hushed conversation between parents, as they try to stretch stagnant paychecks. Help distressed employees and students in the travel industry
