In the UK alone, 500,000 children go to school hungry each day, and an estimated 870,000 children in England may be going to bed hungry each night. Children need a healthy and nutritious diet in order to grow into healthy adults. We need your help to run school holiday activities in Lambeth and Wandsworth for children living in poverty, where the children will receive the meals that they would otherwise miss during the school holidays, as well as fun educational and cultural activities!

Brixton People's Kitchen will be increasing access to affordable, healthy food, as well as creating a space where people can meet and socialise, by setting up a new Community Shop and Cafe

We provide a space for people of all ages to come together, socialise, and learn new skills. With your help we can provide a space where people of all ages can come together and feel supported and safe and part of the community. COVID Update: We are currently providinga home delivery of food and a phoneline for people of all ages to contact for support

Be Enriched and partners have converted a doubledecker bus into a mobile fruit and veg market, bringing affordable food to areas of high need in Wandsworth and Lambeth. The bus has an affordable cafe, a green grocer and seating with free internet access. In 2022 we will be offer programming for the community, including cooking classes, advice, nutrition education, and community events.

Brixton People's Kitchen is your local community food project that aims to tackle food poverty throughout Lambeth and beyond. In an often intense battle against food waste and nutritional inequality, we pride ourselves on knowing the needs and wants of our community. Our community shop goes hand in hand with our community cafe. Meaning everyone has a safe space in which they can come together, eat, and do their weekly shop for just 5- as well as going away with many goodies for free.

After another lockdown, the most vulnerable Londoners, such as the elderly, disabled and those in low/no income households, are at an increased risk of food insecurity. We are once again providing weekly community meals to meet the increased need for hot food and fruit and veg parcels. We plan to deliver these essential items to those in our community who need it most.
